Недавно прочитал статью о том, в каких целях на Blu-ray можно задействовать новый графический фрейм JavaFX. Blu-ray задействован в основном для развлекательных целей. А ещё для хранения информации. Следовательно и цели использования данного фрейма такие же. На эту тему также высказался создатель Java Джеймс Гослинг. Он сказал примерно следующее - Blu-ray задействует спецификацию Profile 2.0, позволяющую выходить в сеть. К сожалению, почти ни один проигрыватель Blu-ray не задействует эту возможность. Поэтому Джеймс надеется, что Blu-ray с использованием всевозможных разнообразных функций, в том числе и Java, окончательно оставит формат HD-DVD далеко позади
