Добрый день.
Взялся изучать программирование 3D-игр в J2ME (с 2-мерными вроде разобрался).
Подскажите, какие технологии сейчас наиболее прогрессивны/распространены? Mobile 3D Graphics (M3G) сейчас актуален? Какие модели телефонов его поддерживают?
В Интернете как-то информации маловато, и вся какая-то слегка разрозненная, а изучать что-то малоперспективное не очень хочется (в своё время по устаревшим учебникам изучал MIDP 1.0 и реализовывал вручную многое из того, что есть в MIDP 2)

Как мне кажется, J2ME - технология весьма неплохая по задумке, но оставляющая желать лучшего в реализации. Будем надеяться, что в скором времени она уступит место Android от Google.
А сейчас... да, актуальны M3G и Mascot Capsule. Первое - общепринятый стандарт, второе - проприетарное решение, внедрённое в телефоны Sony Ericsson (наряду с M3G) и некоторые другие. Впрочем, стоит задуматься, нужна ли вам угловатая трёхмерная графика на экране обычного телефона. Я пишу под J2ME уже несколько лет, и у нас пока ни разу не возникло такой потребности.
